Oh February

February flew right by. The first week of February, had 2 half days and normal wednesday 1/2 dayish where the kids get out at 12:30. On Thursday and Friday they got out at 11:30. I met with all my parents that showed up to have conferences. The week after was Love of Reading Week. We had at least one guest reader every day, and on Friday we had many guest readers. The week after we continue our love of reading by having a school-wide DEAR time (Drop Everything And Read). It went over really well in our classroom. I thoroughly enjoyed it because it wasn't just the students who got to participate, the teachers, staff, etc. all participated. So I got to bring a book and read for enjoyment as well. It went over so well that as a school, I believe we are going to incorporate it as a 2 times a week thing and after AIMS, I think it will become a 4-day a week thing again. I really liked it and so did the kids. It got them reading

I went hiking many Sundays with Becca at Tumamoc Hill...all incline! It's tough but pretty awesome. The last time we went, we saw a pack of 5 or 6 adult javelinas and a baby. We kept our distance, but it was pretty cool to see. Went out to the moon one night with Kim, Steph, and Shannon. We had a pretty good time. I found 5 quarters on the ground, so I picked them up. Quarters are some good change. They were laughing at me though, because one second I was near them and the next I was over picking up quarters. I wasn't going to pass them up! :) Here are a couple pictures from one of our hikes.

We always have a good time climbing this thing! :)

More From January

In an attempt to update completely, I'm looking through pictures and seeing what went on in January, then moving on to what I remember pretty well and what went pretty quickly was February. I got my nails done in January with Chels and took a few pictures. I only lasted about a week with the nails. I felt pretty, but they were just too long and I couldn't function as well with them. It was fun while it lasted though, and totally fun to do that with Chels, since I had never had them before. I may get my nails done in October for Chelsie and Devon's Wedding.

Somewhat early in the month of January, I attended a baby shower for Breann from work. She had baby Charlotte in her Belly and was such a cute pregnant woman. Her baby shower was ladybug themed and just a bunch of fun. A small group of the girls from work came and we had a blast at our table in the back. I ended up winning two of the games and got bath and body works lotion and starbucks gift cards! What a treat. Here are a few pictures from the baby shower.

I win! :)

Cutsie LadyBug Cake :) Pretty tasty as well.

The awesomeness from work.

The working girls (no hooker reference intended!)

Hugging Baby Charlotte. I used to poke her! :)

Well, a couple weeks later Baby Charlotte was born. Kim and I went to visit baby and family and she was just awake and looking around. She is such a sweet baby. :) Congrats to Breann and Daniel! Here are a few pictures of Charlotte less than a day old. :)

After visiting the new baby, I had a game night to attend at Chels and Devon's. We played a few games and many laughs. It was definitely a great night to be remembered. One of my favorite moments was when Brentsky pretended to be a mermaid.. he had to act it out.. and yes, I have it on video... However, I will not post it, because I told him I wouldn't.

Give A Day, Get A Disney Day

The last week of January:

So I had finally signed up for my volunteer day at the end of January. I signed up for Friday, February 26th because I would be on Rodeo Break. I signed up to catalogue books for the girl scouts, which is right up my alley, organization and books! :) I got all signed up which was great. I ended up volunteering on Friday, it was smooth. I'm excited to get my voucher to go to Disneyland... and can't wait until I actually get to go to Disneyland...it's only the happiest place on earth! :)

Oops! Legally Blonde Musical

So unfortunately, I have not been keeping up weekly. I have been thinking in my head what I would talk about on my blog, yet not having actually typed it up, makes it useless. So I want to catch up as much as I can. Back in January, Chelsie and I went to Legally Blonde the Musical. It was absolutely wonderful. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as did Chels. I bought the soundtrack when I got home and listened to it for a few weeks. It was fantastic. I still listen to it and sing along. I waited to post about it because my camera battery died while we were there and my battery was in my other purse, So we took most of the pictures on Chelsie's camera and she hadn't been able to find her cord. So I finally got to borrow her memory card and upload the pictures. Here are just a few of them:

Twinsies!

We are just so excited.

Bend and SNAP!

Classy.

We had such a wonderful time. I can't wait till we hit up another musical!
